Wine, Wine, Wine...

Last night I got to hang out with some of my friends for a little wine and food. What a wonderful time we had. The discussions were varied, of course....we talked music, jobs, husbands' jobs, tv, Perez, Jon/Kate.... you know the usual in-depth, "serious" discussions held by housewives on a Tuesday evening over wine! I seldom like to drink during the week and I had told myself I'd only stay an hour... which of course led to me driving the 1/4 mile home, three hours later and leaving some funny comments on FB. You really shouldn't be on FB after wine, LOL. But oh what a time we had!

I swear, I'm back to Blogging...for real this time....

I don't know why I can't update this thing regularly. I guess between all the other websites, etc. I try to keep up with, the blog just doesn't top the list. I'm going to change that I promise.

Yesterday, LO, my "Little One", had a high fever, flushed cheeks and was very lethargic. Since she hadn't felt good Sunday either, I went ahead and took her to the dr. Thank goodness for an office with late night appointments. She only has an upper resporitory infection, which Motrin and Tylenol will hopefully cure.

This morning she was up at 6am (thankfully, I decided not to go to the gym) but by 8:30 she was grumpy and tired. So, for the first time EVER. I laid her in bed and turned the tv on for her. I swore I'd never do that, but she wouldn't let me rock her. She didn't want to be on the floor, she was screaming in bed. it was a desperate last resort. So, after about 1/2 hour of PBS, I went to check on her and thankfully, she was sound asleep.

I'm hoping the day gets better!

New School

The little one started daycare today. I, of course, was worried about leaving her and if she would cry which in turn, would make me cry. But, alas, no tears were shed. She loved all the toys and had a blast crawling on the floor with her new friends while I talked to her teacher. It's going to take some getting used to on my part. There are alot of processes in place....I need a code to get in the front door, I have to check her into a computer system, I have to fill out a daily sheet letting the teachers know when her last meal was, what time she woke up, when i changed her last. (these were all things we did at Mrs. L's house, it just happened to be stuff we talked about in conversation, not written on paper). I'm so excited for her though. I know she's going to love all the playmates, she'll love her new teacher and definitely all the new toys.

I'll post more tonight once I've picked her up and gotten to see how her day was.

TGIF

Finally, it's Friday. Today I have lots of errands to run. Wal-mart to get groceries, frame store for a frame for annie's present. Tomorrow we get to go to Annie's big birthday party. It should be alot of fun and it will be MAP's first big-girl birthday party.

What does everyone have planned for this weekend?

Old Navy Weekly - Coupon Update

I've been looking around the web today and several sites have said that the coupons won't reload today, but will reload on Sunday 5/31/09 with the possibility of the $75 off a $100 for the week. If you find any information, leave a comment.

I'll still check the site periodically today, but will definitely be on the look out this Sunday for new coupons to appear.

Old Navy Weekly - 5.28.09

Tomorrow the site flips...I wonder what time and if any of the big, big coupons will be back. I thought last weeks coupons were a bit hard to find. Needless to say, I'll be checking out some other sites to see if I can find any hints on where the coupons are hidden.

Comment if you find anything out! Happy Hunting!

Summer Reads...

What started out as just a couple of books to take on our cruise, ended up creating a summer book read for my sister and I. My first summer read was The Shack. If you haven't read it, I would highly recommend it. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not read religious books. Not at all, no exception, nadda! But, The Shack, turned out to be one of my favorite books of all time. I love the flow of the novel, the deep meaning behind the story and the descriptions of God and how our relationship with him can flow into our everyday life relationships.

My second, third, fourth and fifth books of the summer were the Twilight Saga novels. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed these easy to read, Romeo/Juliet love saga. I literally read all four books in less than two weeks. I even rented the movie and have now become fans with "Twilight" on Facebook. I can't believe I fell into all the marketing hype and teenage obsessions, but I did. Love them, highly recommend all four!
